How to get The Lich in Candy Kingdom Defense
A Portal is the entry item. Winning is the separate chance at the hero.

Obtain a Lich Portal from Infinite Mode, open it in the Tree Fort and win the Portal encounter for the displayed Secret Lich chance. Keep Portal chance, hero chance and Lich Ooze separate. These instructions follow published interface records reviewed October 26; the client build is unknown.[1][2]
Get a Portal, then use it
- Play Infinite Mode. The published Lich Portal item lists a 30% chance every ten waves; it does not promise a Portal at each checkpoint.
- Check that a Portal has actually entered your inventory.
- Return to the Tree Fort and use OPEN PORTAL on the item. Its description names the destination as the Lich’s Lair.
- Join the party and complete the encounter. The inspected room is titled The Dead Wasteland and says the Secret chance applies on a win.
The item’s destination wording and room title are preserved as separate labels. A waiting-room screenshot is not a reward receipt.[1][2]
Two rolls, two different outcomes
| Stage | Published rule | What it does not mean |
|---|---|---|
| Infinite checkpoint | 30% Portal chance every ten waves | Not a guaranteed Portal every ten waves. |
| Won Portal encounter | 5% chance for Secret Lich | Entering or losing is not a completed reward roll. |
| Lich Ooze | One per win in the item/reference text | Finishing an Ooze target does not automatically give the hero. |
The item and room screenshots support those displayed rules. They are not independent odds testing; no pity system or minimum guaranteed attempt count is established here.[1][2]
After you obtain The Lich
At the Enchiridion Shrine, select The Lich and compare the confirmation. The inspected sample lists 5 Lich Ooze plus 10 Enchiridion Pages for Jake the Lich, without a Gem line. It says level, XP, stats and trait are kept. The sample is level 50; that alone does not establish a level-50 prerequisite.[3]
Use Dungeon Train for the recorded Page source. This is a different recipe from ordinary ten-item/five-Page evolutions; do not substitute their costs.
Choose the next run from what is missing
| Your state | Next useful action |
|---|---|
| No Portal | Work toward the Infinite checkpoints and inspect inventory after the reward. |
| Portal acquired, hero missing | Complete the Portal fight. A win can still miss the Secret roll. |
| Hero acquired, Ooze missing | Use the win-reward route rather than summoning for a duplicate. |
| Hero and Ooze ready, Pages missing | Switch to the Page source; more Portal attempts do not fill that separate recipe row. |
